How this works
How contributions become dollars
Contribution points carry a direct dollar translation that we set from each month's donation goal. As the community earns points by studying, that translation converts the collective effort into a real dollar figure. So the community decides how much gets raised, while Weila is the one that makes the donation.
When payments happen
We total the community's contributions on a regular cycle and send a donation to the current partner. The date and amount of every completed donation is listed in the impact timeline below.
Who the money goes to
Funds go directly to the featured conservation organization. Weila is the donor of record on each gift, and we publish where it went.
Why you cannot claim the receipt
Because Weila makes the donation rather than you, the gift is not a personal charitable contribution and is not tax-deductible for individual users. Any tax receipt belongs to Weila as the donor. Earning or spending contribution points is part of using the app, not a donation from you.
